Martabak


250 gr mince beef
3 cloves garlic – finely chopped
1 onion - dice
2 Tblspn shredded carrots (optional)
2 Tblspn oyster sauce
2 Tblspn shao hsing cooking wine( optional)
½ tspn pepper
sugar and salt to taste
2 spring onion ( finely cut)
2 cm fresh turmeric
3 eggs
20 springroll wrapper
2 Tblspn vegetable oil
1 cup vegetable oil - to fry

Prepared hot oil, add onion and garlic stir well till brown , add mince beef, follow by turmeric, pepper, pinch of sugar and salt. Taste seasoning, add more herb if necessary. Put a side for a few minutes till cool.

Place spring roll wrap on top of the wide plate and put the meat in the center, fold three of the corners into the center then wrap your remaining corner over what you have. Deep fry all the wrapping for a few minutes.

Makes : 20 martabaks
